In order to further develop our potential as leaders and the potential of those around us we need to be consistently learning- challenging our practices and our ideas and seeking out ways to be more effective at reaching the young people we are in contact with.

The great commission as read in Matt 28:18-20 poses a great challenge to those of us who desire to impact a generation. It is our mandate to not merely build up young people who participate in Church and programs, but to develop disciples who passionately follow Jesus in their world.

Students spend 30hours a week or more at school, and fortunately we have the opportunity to be involved in schools and to be the presence of Christ in their world. Rather then expecting them to come to us, we have the opportunity to go to them.

The resources in this section will hopefully support your presence in the schools. There are some scripture materials, ideas for lunch time groups and even ideas for welfare based stuff. We've even included some important documents to make sure you follow the guidelines set out by the DET.

We all know that it is not about the program! It is about lives being transformed through genuine relationships that direct youth to Jesus. But the fact is most of us still run programs. And programs are helpful in building into young people, although not the end goal, they are definitely helpful in achieving the mission we have been given.
